POSITION TITLE: Piano Faculty 

DESCRIPTION: To teach private piano lessons to ages 5 years old to adults, in preparation for recitals, examinations and national and international competitions.

Our students consistently excel in the Royal Conservatory Certificate Program, earning Center and State Certificates of Excellence, highlighting their superior skills at both local and state levels. Beyond regional success, our students have also gained international acclaim, winning awards in competitions like the American Protege International Piano and Strings Competition. Some have even performed at Carnegie Hall.

START DATE: October 1st, 2024.

WEEKLY TEACHING HOURS AND DUTIES: Between 30 – 35 hrs a week (afternoons/evenings on weekdays and morning/afternoon on Saturdays), plus attendance to student recitals (twice a year). Earning potential is between $4-$5K a month.

As a founding school and local testing center for the Royal Conservatory of Music, the person occupying this position will also have the opportunity to be the Center Representative, helping host the RCM examinations twice a year. This position will be compensated separately by the Royal Conservatory. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

-HARD SKILLS: Completed graduate degree in Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy, Music Education-piano  performance concentration, Music Therapy-piano performance concentration, or equivalent. 

-SOFT SKILLS: Goal oriented, problem solver, empathetic and accountable.
