Superior Academy of Music has officially announced it’s 2012 Summer Programs. SAM’s summer programs will start June 11th and will end on August 18th, 2012. This 10 week program will offer a different approach to music for our students. In addition to our Private Lesson program, our group classes will run in two sessions of 5-weeks at a time and are available only during our summer term:
- Jazz/Pop Musicianship Classes: Focused on popular music theory as well as jazz and song-writing skills, students will learn about composition techniques, improvisation, and different musical styles that are usually not part of the regular academic curriculum during the school year.
- Ensemble Classes: In these classes students will have the opportunity to play or sing with each other in piano duets, chamber music groups, and/or vocal ensembles and perform in our Summer Ensemble Recitals that will take place on July 15th and August 19th.
